Personalized care for pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Registered Acupuncturist (RAc) & Regiestered Practical Nurse (RPN)
With knowledge and skills gained from 16 years in health & wellness, my career has always been rooted in providing multifaceted support and personalized care. But the true heart of Kamer Nursing wasn’t just born from my extensive educational background—it was born from my own lived experience as a patient.
“I believe that no one should have to navigate their healthcare journey alone.”
Like many of you, I know exactly what it feels like to be on the other side of the stethoscope. Living with endometriosis, migraines, chronic pain, ADHD and navigating my own complex health issues and surgical recoveries have taught me some profound lessons: the medical system can be overwhelming, and unfortunately it is not well designed for chronic issues, so it can be especially exhausting. Because of this, it is incredibly easy to feel lost, dismissed, or even pressured by capital driven fear-based tactics when you are at your most vulnerable.
leave doctors’ offices feeling anxious and confused; not knowing what direction to take, filled with self-doubt, perplexed about options. All of it continuously reinforced a deep knowing that traditional caregiving fail to support the most vulnerable far too frequently. And the more personal struggles I embarked upon in my 20+ years to get an endometriosis diagnosis, the more I realized people deserve better. There is a great need for more than just physical support; whether its better understanding of how the body works, or needing an interpreter, or a strategist, on thing is for certain having an advocate is an essential part of care. A family member, a friend, a hired support, regardless of circumstance, everyone benefits from having a champion of care. Which is why Kamer Nursing came to be; whether its helping to decipher the complexities of a diagnosis or empower people to speak up, my goal is to be that dedicated personal support and guide for you.

A birth support person also, known as a doula, is a professionally trained care provider that contributes to the process of birthing by way of any physical, emotional, &/or informational means.
Regardless of the particulars of the birth itself a doula establishes and nurtures an environment of wellbeing through various customizable techniques, tools &
strategies. These can include mental & emotional preparation, comfort measures (i.e., counter pressure, breath cueing, distraction tactics, guided visualizations, position prompts, etc.) imparting encouragement & moral support when appropriate and dispensing an assortment of information (i.e., guidance on signs & symptoms in early & active labour, when to contact providers, etc.).
Doulas also aid partners in their supportive process (regardless of their knowledge base). Essentially, they set the foundation for the most informed, and empowering birth experience possible. And work to stand as a grounding pillar of calm throughout all of birth’s intensities while holding space for such a momentous life event.
desire for an unmedicated/epidural-free birth or judgement free pain management
have a planned cesarean
(offerings extend beyond labour & delivery!)
want guidance & an extra presence for you and your partner
(helpful in reducing pressure; no expectations to be a birthing expert!)
nervous or fearful of birth
want assistance in navigating pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
desire an intentional enlivening birth experience no matter the method of birth
*It is important to note that hiring a doula CANNOT guarantee outcomes or ensure natural birthing processes. And even though there are many advantages such as having an advocate or an informed calm presence in attendance, birth workers do not take this role lightly and highly appreciate the marvelous & intimate nature of pregnancy & birthing. Therefore finding the most appropriate fit is a critical component of achieving the greatest benefits.
